    Oops, that was supposed to be ever, not never. Never implies that there was a clear message that you simply didn’t understand and that wasn’t what I meant at all.

    When I wrote that poem, I was okay with leaving it to the reader’s own interpretation. Upon reading your comment, though, I figured it might be better to clarify what it is or isn’t.

    No. Text in this sense means words in general, not a text message. Have you never come across something – an old letter, a post or whatever and realized that you’re still affected by it? Sometimes profoundly so?
