Modern Day Troubadours

As some of you know, my Grandma Rose passed away early last Saturday morning (10/24) – hence the week long tribute. The only way to describe the week leading up to and since her passing is surreal. Since I don’t think I have yet, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have left kind words here, sent your supportive words or prayers via email and/or text, or even those who called just to talk and see how things were going. I appreciate each of you and everything you’ve done. Sincerely, thank you all.

It likely comes as no surprise that the music I’ve listened to over these past few weeks has been all over the place. Once I took a moment and examined the trends, though, it seems that I have listened to more minimalistic songs – guitarist/singer, pianist/singer, or on a rare occasion a duet. Below are two of the modern day troubadours who have occupied the bulk of my brain space in recent days – Kim Richey and Bryce Avary (AKA The Rocket Summer). Hope you enjoy.

If she doesn’t reply in the next day or so, I’ll be sure she gets the message. Thank you Jeff and Gaby.
